You know, the theme of everyone wanting butler makes me think that Godfrey is Loki or Puck in disguise. Plotting all this as colossal joke.

It may be as simple as my personal desire to have the godlike talents of PG Wodhouse’s Jeeves at my disposal.

        Who hasn’t felt that?

        Thorin Schmidt says:

Getting rid of Jeeves was the dumbest thing Ask.com ever did. Askjeeves was cool. Ask was just low-budget google.

and smackjeeves wasn’t bad either until that korean(?) company bought it and ruined it. (i think i read somewhere it was a korean company, could be wrong. but i know someone bought it and ruined it)

Unearth & Geek Fortress were both on Smackjeeves and had a good audience there… until the, yes, Korean company bought it, tried to turn it into Webtoons, and then dissolved it when the creators all abandoned ship.

This would be before she moved to Canada of course.

    Some do.

Actually, the art isn’t that bad. It’s a pretty good dragon. It’s a fierce horse. And O.K. Marshal. I think it’s the other, BREATHING dragons that are causing an issue by comparison.

    Not their fault.

I like Philopater actually. I suspect me and Charlie have different tastes. Or me and most people, really.

    • mvandinter says:

A father naming his son “FatherLoving” (Philopater) sounds like the man’s preemptively forcing the issue. Just saying.

        Frank Harr says:

Well, that’s what I get for being a German rather than a Greek major. 😉

given the historical penchant for aristocrats assassinating their fathers in order to hasten the inheritance process, perhaps he was just being hopeful? or trying to use subliminal suggestion? or something along those lines.

        • mvandinter says:

That would be some very wishful thinking on the father’s part…
Philo’s father, BTW, will appear as a character in an upcoming chapter.

    Wyvern says:

Why would the artist insult his patron while he’s standing right there? Is he hoping to become unemployed?

      Frank Harr says:

Exhasperation with the idiot and and the infuriating knowledge that no matter what happens, he has no where to go and his boss can’t get rid of him.

Hate overcomes fear. He doesn’t hate him too much, but then he’s not that scary either.

    • mvandinter says:

Maybe they just know each other too well. Familiarity breeds contempt.
