I can’t really make out the mural, even without the scaffold, I imagine. Do we know which Miss is with the mural? Is it Ogg’s mom? Wait, she wouldn’t be termed a miss, it must be a new character? Or is it Alice, who has made it here through a series of shenanigans and assorted hijinks that involve her subduing various minions and dinosaurs, ditching her dress for her stylish fur bikini, and becoming the new Un-English Monarch, which we’ll find out about in a soon-to-be published flashback?
Well, that pose *is* pretty iconic. I did a Google image search for “St. George slaying the dragon” and nearly all the results used some variant of it, despite a wide range of different artistic styles.
Although I have to wonder at the look of joy on the character’s face. Usually, he’s pretty serious. NOT A COMPLAINT! I assume there’s a good story reason.
Of course, Philo would appreciate the scaffolding.
Ah, Philo demonstrating mechanics being his primary interest, though not necessarily failing to recognize the arts. Or even necessarily, being an Englishman. It’s possible just from this that his comment is conciously playing up the scaffolding as a comment on the ridiculousness of the Frenchman (or even any “modern” man of this time period) placing himself in the classic hero’s position.
I’m probably thinking to much, but these nuances would fit with what we’ve seen of him so far.
Yakumo, if you’re the kind of person who thinks too much, then you’ve come to the right place! UNEARTH is the product of the ailment known as Think-Too-Much-itis… Not that I thought of all that Modern Man Commentary stuff… at least not consciously.

Thorin, your comment is really hit-or-Miss
From what I can see of the mural, it seems to depict Marshall Farraux in the role of St. George, slaying the dragon.
The Always-Astute Wyvern sees through the veil!
(The Author wasn’t expecting anybody to ‘see’ it until the next page)

“Good story reason”? Thanks for the vote of confidence, Frank. I better get to work thinking up that reason before the next page is posted!
I believe in you!
Maybe he’s “slaying” the dragon with an awesome comedy routine?
Maybe he’s actually looking down at a cute litter of dragonlets being held by their mother?
Or perhaps he’s looking down at a dragon-shaped salad bar and he’s deciding whether to go with croutons or bacon bits?
Thorin, this award should NOT be considered encouragement.
What?
Not encouragement??
But … but … it always was!
It’s tradition!
Yes. Agreed.
Look at the perspective!

You’re probably right on all counts,

Thank goodness for that.
So if you think you didn’t think about, therefore you…what? Or therefore thing you though/didn’t think about…what?
I wonder if he’d like my app.
App? Do go on.
I made an app.
It’s a unit conversion app. You can use fractions, up to two units and there’s a ratio converter.
It’s on sale now. Have a look: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=appinventor.ai_RoyceGrey.Frank_Harr_s_Conversion_App&hl=en_US&gl=US
It’s pretty good for a German major, I think.
Cool. Congrats!
Thanks, but it’s been around for a number of years now.
I doubt he’d be too impressed. But he light like the math I went through.
Well, not WENT THROUGH, but set up. If you know British gas mark, I set it up so that you can find the gas mark for absolute 0.
Aha! Finally, the engineer. At least, he is in the mural, and is he not also the Marechal? He has his nose.
