Wrong! “Faire” (infinitive) is “to make” or “to do”. In French as in some other languages, “make” and “do” use the same verb.
Perhaps you’re thinking of the German “fahren” meaning “to walk.”
But of course “tu” is the singular familiar form. The plural (either familiar or formal) is “vous.” “Que croyez-vous faire?” would be more appropriate.
Thanks, Shonkin! It is supposed to be singular (as he’s addressing one person, as you’ll see in the next page), so I went with “Que crois-tu faire?” Though I am open to other suggestions.
Seems like an enormous oversight on the part of the builders to have left the causeway so low as to be easily accessible by sea serpents!! I’ve no doubt they’d do a number on the wood work …
I am also truly curious as to what’s going on at the hinge on the drawbridge? My mind cannot resolve how that’s pivoting?
The drawbridge segment is an H-Frame with 90-degree-rotated Y extensions that cradle a crossbeam on the fixed bridge segment. It sounds simple, yet it still manages to defy the laws of physics!
These are people who take iron cookwear with them wherever they go. We can reasonably posit that any “Troll” who shows up at the bridge will be able to defend themselves.
