Charlotte needs to chill, or maybe she’s too chill depending on how you look at it. Also “mischieveous” isn’t a word, it’s a common mistake when using “mischievous.” I would feel weird calling it out but apparently it’s a thing people do here.
That wasn’t Ogg though. Philo is an Englishman speaking English, disregarding if the language was a bit funky in the Victorian era by modern standards. Or would that be French since he’s talking to Sylphide? I assume she came with the French but went native for some reason, since I can’t remember if we have any of her backstory.
Oh, Yeah.
Um.
I’m going to blame it on my blindness because even though it is highly doubtful it played a factor, I can’t bring myself to admit that in my desire to somehow make a witty “zinger”, I completely overlooked the fact about who said what.
No problem, things happen in the rush to make a post. Like I already doubted my idea of Sylphide’s origins since I don’t think she’d be so accomplished living in the wild if she wasn’t doing it from a younger age, which doesn’t track with the Frenchmen we already saw, her legendary status, and that the troll women have been exchanged for company in the absence of modern women. So I don’t know where Sylphide came from but it’s more likely she’s some kid who fell in a hole or found an entrance like Highness using the grave to come and go from the overworld. Further hypothetical speculation, maybe she was kidnapped by the lizardmen but escaped?

Mind you, The Author is merely transcribing the words of n actual Caveman. They can’t be expected to know all the nuances.
The poor boy probably even uses a “warshrag”, for pity’s sake. 🙂
“I can play a mean warshboard.”

FIXED thanks to THE GAIA DIES IN THE LIGHT! And TGDITL, The Author appreciates the proofreading since it makes the comic better!
Yay, validation! I’ll stay on the unofficial proofreading squad.
FWIW, I pointed out a couple of typos on p. 217, but I think my comment must have been overlooked because they haven’t been corrected.
From what I’ve noticed, comments that aren’t made early usually end up unacknowledged.
He’s a busy man and doesn’t look back.
This tree truly belongs here.
The design of this page is incredible. Really fantastic.
I know, right?
