  1. T
THE GAIA DIES IN THE LIGHT says:

You don’t want to eat Charlotte. Who knows where her feet have been? Imagine all that progress taken down by food poisoning.

      Scorpinac says:

The same could be said about all the cave women and cave men, and that doesn’t seem to bother any of them.

THE GAIA DIES IN THE LIGHT says:

I know my lapse in observation really undermines my joke, so I have to BS my way out of it with the fact she’s been on a diet of human women from the surface. Different food source, different pathogens? Ignoring that, I think I tripped myself up because I originally was thinking Charlotte would just taste bad and how to violently remedy that. Casually posting about cutting off a kid’s ankles probably isn’t funny though, I don’t wanna ruin the vibe.

      • Grim Robot says:

I’m sure Her Highness ate plenty of cave women in her past. She’s just developed a more refined palette over time.

THE GAIA DIES IN THE LIGHT says:

That goes without saying, she already explained her ancestry. I’m actually wondering if there’s some meta to this though and she’s actually devolving in pursuit of her goal. Will there be a point where she becomes so human that she’s no longer akin to a living god and be subjected to the consequences of mortality?

          • L
            Lurker says:

She seems desperate to enter the world of mortality, maybe eventually her wish will be fulfilled. Literally. 😀

As they say, be careful what you wish for, it might come true.

    • Grim Robot says:

      Dirty feet? That’s seasoning.

  2. S
    Scorpinac says:

Alice, once again, stab her and RUN!

  3. D
    Drew Hoskins-Smith says:

    Ohhhh, punch incoming, I reckon!

  4. F
    Frank says:

    What, is Alice chopped liver?

  5. The Squashiraptor says:

Is the Lizard Queen actually Jack the Ripper?

  6. F
    Frank says:

She becomes more human to stalk her prey and she preys so she can become more human. Her ultimate goal:

Attending the opening of the Mikado!

  7. W
    Wyvern says:

    Typo alert:

    “more easily” is not hyphenated
    “non-existEnt”, not “non-existAnt”

  8. W
    Wyvern says:

    So is Madame Vastra:
    – expecting Alice to sacrifice herself to save Charlie?
    – expecting Alice to sacrifice Charlie to save herself?
    – hoping to get a two-for-one deal?

And how on earth does she walk around London in an executioner’s get-up without drawing attention?
