  1. E
    Erik Van Thienen says:

“Arrêtez, ou Monsieur Philo vous défiera pour un duel !”

    • Y
      Yakumo says:

Probably need a descriptor more than the name- “Knock it off or the person who cannot speak French at all will challenge you to a duel.”

    • mvandinter says:

Ha! Yes, and then Godfrey would have to teach Philo how to issue the challenge in French as well.

      • Y
        Yakumo says:

Well, it’s a bit tired now, but wasn’t it still known in the Victorian era? Walk up and remove a glove, or vice versa, and then slap the other guy with said glove on each cheek.

        • E
          Erik Van Thienen says:

Only between aristocrats. If you were a commoner you just got stabbed for looking at them in the wrong way.

    • D
      Donjonneau says:

I would prefer: “Halte, coquin! Si vous tenez si imprudemment à raviver les flammes ardentes sur les joues du Archeduc de Farthing, préparez-vous à voir sa main vous occire! Sa lame a caressé la joue de plusieurs âmes insouciantes et a percé le cœur des guerriers les plus endurcis. J’étais vous, je m’agenouillerais avec les sanglots et les larmes les plus sincères juste qu’à ce que Archeduc Farthing veuille bien vous accorder sa clémence définitive.”

    Shan says:

    Put your ladder down
    Put your ladder down
    Put your ladder down

    Don’t be concerned

  3. W
    Wyvern says:

“It might be prudent for you and Miss Charlotte to stay down here…”

    Too late!

Also, typo alert: the correct spelling is emissary.

  4. H
    Hornet says:

I don’t think this really fits Charlotte’s personality.

    • mvandinter says:

I’m open to constructive criticism. What’s your reasoning, Hornet?

      • H
        Hornet says:

She just hasn’t seamed that concern with such things before, she’s just seamed more of the Laura Croft to Alice’s Martha Steward.

      • mvandinter says:

Hornet, I made a few dialogue changes… to shift the tone more in the direction of humor. Let me know what you think.

  5. T
    Thorin Schmidt says:

    I like the new dialogue!
    *looks at it again*

although now “scenario” isn’t spelled right…
