Thanks for the input, TheReader! I agree about the monthly update schedule creating a disconnect… plus I’m getting impatient to move the story along. There MAY be some news on that front in the near future.

Has she ever concidered a nunnery? I’m given to understand that they are sometimes run by people capable of great resentment.
England closed all its monasteries and convents during the English Reformation… So, I guess Alice would have to jump ship and become Catholic in order to do the nun deal.
I’d thought some had reopened? And besides, maybe I didn’t mean a religious order.
And I think I’ll leave that there. Alice is likely mad enough at my already. And although my own mother (another Alice) would likely be giggling at this point, I don’t wish to bring any more insubstantial wrath down on me than is absolutly necessary in the name of comedy.
