Spill the Tea?! Who would ever wish for such a horrible, horrible circumstance? That dreadful lad ought to be pilloried just for even attempting such an outrage!
Actually, what I would have rather seen is Godfrey stomping on the line as he passed. Might’ve given Roderick a well-deserved surprise and minor injury. I guess Godfrey’s disinclined to dish out payback.
We will (eventually) be embarking on some sort of subterranean adventure to a land of cavemen and dinosaurs. The possibilities therein for frightful comeuppance are such that I would counsel patience.
This is pretty entertaining so far without as much as a compsognathus to be seen. I will be pleased to see the action move underground, but I’m not suffering.
Some creators don’t like their fans pointing out corrections in the comments. I don’t ever remember you saying anything to that effect, but I do have a correction to point out so I apologize in advance if you would prefer they be emailed or something to you rather than posted here.
In the last panel Roderick says, “Godfrey is tough nut to crack…” Unless he’s got a Russian accent, I think he means “Godfrey is a tough nut to crack…” 🙂
As for the Artistic License, I got my learner’s permit when I was sixteen. Years later I accidentally let my license expire, and then I had to take the Art test all over again. But I’d forgotten most of the rules, so the state wouldn’t renew it. If I get caught making webcomics without an artistic license, they’ll impound my pencils.
Godfrey is the consummate butler, he would never think of hurting someone in his charge, neither would he allow them to cause him to fail in his duties.

I’m thinking of adding a subplot that focuses primarily on tea, perhaps with a singing teapot and dancing furniture. Thoughts?
Kudos to those who called it.
Is it possible that the author (me) changed the outcome based on reader comments?

Roderick does deserve to have something genuinely horrible happen to him… I’d love to hear some suggestions 🙂
Farthing comes sprinting out and kicks the line when Roderick’s not looking, pulling him, and Roderick gets stuck between the wall and pipe

I don’t know about you, but that “eventually” is starting to worry me.
I read several webcomics which have been going on for a number of years, so I’m not worried – or at least I wasn’t until I read that comment! :O
But aren’t you wildly impatient to see the aforementioned subterranean adventure with cavemen and dinosaurs?

Compsognathus? That’s chicken dinner for a caveman 😉
The anti-climax is actually one of my favorite literary devices… maybe because of the multiple-climax overkill in movies and tv.

I don’t mind at all! Just the opposite 🙂 You guys help make up for my abysmal proof-reading ability 🙁
Thanks!
P.S. I just made the fix to this page.
Alright! Time for this week’s guess!
Alice has spent this entire time just glaring at Farthing… either that or insulting his hair out of jealousy.
Also, why wouldn’t Charlotte exist without artistic license?
I too am jealous of Philo’s hair.

Duty above all else! Though he might be imagining how fun it would be to kick that kid’s butt.
Told ya. 🙂
I knew it! That’s why we hire these people as the service.
The question is why aren’t they the ones doing the hiring.
