So, I have just archive binged all 47 pages, looking forward to more.
It can’t be Steampunk as I have yet to see a single blimp. Also, a parody of Victorian Britain where young ladies of high breeding walk around showing off their ankles for all to see *adjusts monocle* preposterous.
Still, your outrageously great framing of panels and wonderful art style more than make up for it. I look forward to reading more.

Regarding the flagrant display of ankle, that’s just typical webcomic fanservice. You know how these webcartoonists are, they’ll stoop to any depths for more page hits. Please try to overlook it.

Since Napoleon is still ruling France in the story present, this is obviously not the Victorian era yet (she wasn’t even born until 1819!). Moreover, morals were getting increasingly repressed throughout the Victorian era, so it stands to reason that the early 19th century would start out more liberal, quite possibly enough so to allow the display of ankles.
Ditto on the archive binge and such, though.
Always happy to have binge readers! Different parts of the prologue take place at different dates, with this current storyline set in the English Regency period, though historical accuracy will be a victim to my whims 😉

As with most of the incentive images, they are teasers for what comes after the Prologue… which could be an eternity from now at this rate.
He seems singularly unimpressed with her excellent Spidey imitation. Perhaps he hasn’t seen the movie yet?

Just re-read the archives to check if we know what the connection between Philo Farthing and the Wollstones is yet (answer: not really). This is a Prologue of truly Wagnerian proportions!

No, no, it’s all brilliant stuff, and the pacing reads fine! Just entertained that the “prologue” is now longer than the average comic book issue….. I was thinking of “Das Rheingold,” the so-called “introductory evening” to the Ring Cycle, which is actually a pretty hefty opera in it’s own right. (er, to be pretentious.)
I’m glad you feel that way, as Prologue Parts 5 & 6 are planned… after that, though, things will get UNDERway.

Uh, you know what? I was gonna read all that’s posted before I add it to my feeds but forget it I’m doing it now. Won’t risk losing this comic because of a sudden need to reinstall windows or something like that.
