  1. E
    Erik Van Thienen says:

    (ahum; “heir”)

  2. L
    Lurker says:

This is called an elaborate game of sociopolitical chess.

The dinner set and “food” are just the outward trappings, a convenient guise for the interrogation to feel less forceful.

    • Grim Robot says:

That sounds entirely accurate, Lurker! And here I thought I was sneaking in a bunch of exposition for the readers. Go figure!

  3. N
    Nomi says:

    “Altar” not “alter.”

  4. F
    Frank says:

O.K., so she has a lot of I-don’t-secretly-love-Philo reasons to have been in that blender.

    *Rrrrodddy!*

  5. tyersome says:

Seems that this discussion is finally making headway — even if only half the participants seem animate!

    • L
      Lurker says:

I love the composition of this page, with the implied veiled threats looming over the conversation by the inanimate “participants”. Especially the visual double entrendre of the stuffed beast heads both having a threatening appearance yet at the same time being dead and stuffed, thereby implying the amount of power wielded by our resident lizard queen over the denizens of the realm.

And of course, the clear subtext implied by both participants not eating any of the offered food.
