My guess is that Miss Sylphide is actually Charlie, who is going to get zapped by a spell from Queenie which sends her back in time. That’s why she didn’t want to explain. Explaining could cause a temporal paradox, or literally an existential crisis.
That, oe she just thinks he’s cute and is intrigued by his lack of reaction when she flashed him, and is bust making plans to test that theory a few more times before taking him home to meet her parents…
At last, we get to meet the legend herself! 😄
She WAS the website banner Legend. But can she live up to it?
No, seriously, how did you get down here? Is your name Alice Liddell, by any chance?
Jane of the Jungle, actually.
Oh, so she’s NOT Alice.
Very MUCH not Alice, but still practical. Time to do Alice-like things that don’t involve resentment of Philo!
Do you think of Alice as the Jane-of-the-Jungle type?
And who would Alice be without the Philo-Resentment obsession?
If given sufficient motivation, hell-yeah.
Alice without PRO would be . . . damn, I don’t know. And who would Philo be?
OK, FYI, I was referring to Lewis Carrol’s Alice. You know, “Curiouser and curiouser.”?
As to keeping the soldiers from realizing Philo hasn’t been shot: How about firing the Frenchman’s pistol into the air?
That might be a very valuable single shot you wouldn’t want to waste.

That’s quite a guess there, Thorin…
So… she *did* flash him on purpose then?
Also, kudos on leaning into the Left-handed thing. I think it is a cool detail
