Well, I guess more accurately in practice, it might be politically incorrect to tell people that because if a man fell asleep in a forest while watching Black Panther and no-one saw him … would it make a sound?
Funny you should mention Rhinos, because I thought of them when Godfrey indicated the 8 legged version there was an herbivore. Because, though it is saddled, it is unattended, and rhinos are herbivores and I still would not walk too close in front of one. And I’d imagine the reason for this would even be in Philo’s books.
All I really want to know is, how does an 8 legged triceratops walk? The legs are so close together that a normal animal gait would have them bumping into each other…
And this is why they don’t let me out very often 😉
In the beginning of the next page, I’m expecting some comment of “we haven’t done that in x years. x being the number of years between when this comic is set and the final, no loop hole, criminalization of slavery and slave trade by England.
Slavery was determined to be unlawful in England via The Somesett Case in 1772. The Slave Trade Act of 1807 made slave trading illegal throughout the British Empire, but actually owning slaves in the Empire was not made illegal until the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833.
Really? I always thought this was truly Victorian Ear, but the 1820s is before she’s even a teenager.
Well the comment could still be made. Because I’m pretty sure enslaving was criminalized with trade (as the front end of said trade) and that the only owning was what slaves there already were. And I’m not completely sure, but fairly close, trade included bringing an owned slave from outside the empire into it, but I could be off.
Ah yes, I was looking at the animation and miscounted by adding the front most left foot with the 2 grouped in the front on the right, but for some reaons didn’t do the same thing with the back set.
I thought so! Queenie and her butler were speaking fluent English, back in The Prologue. Some of you younger readers might not have been around for that.
Well, Black Panther proved you can’t go wrong with War Rhinos (debates about the quality of CGI notwithstanding) so that’s a thumbs up from here!
I’m told it’s politically incorrect to have fallen asleep from boredom half way through the movie… thereby missing the War Rhinos.

Having now seen Captain Marvel, I can further report back that it too fits the definition of a motion picture.

I have your answer!
Well, in fairness Mvandinter, that is a 12 legged creature, but that aside, thank you for bringing that blast from the past! 🙂
10. Actually.

“Unearth” is set “sometime in the 1820s”.

One thing I will say about the next page: It’s unlikely to spark a debate about Britain’s slave trade.
Challenge accepted!
Is this the right room for an argument?
I told you once.

*facepalm*
That was supposed to be in reply to Thorin correcting me about the number of legs on Tundro, but I mucked it up, again.
Oh, no, Poached People!
I hope it’s not another Soylent Green situation.
Green, YES. Soylent? We’ll see… in Chapter 4.
Dun Dun DUNN.
I thought so! Queenie and her butler were speaking fluent English, back in The Prologue. Some of you younger readers might not have been around for that.
Listen to Thorin: He’s the leading expert on all things Unearth.
Plant-eating doesn’t mean “Safe”. Has she never seen a bull? City kids!
That’s not suspicious at all.
I think she was just being cute.
Oh. That’s all right then.
I love the detail on the driller, and the animal. 🙂 Apart from the number of legs, it seems very ceratopsian.
