Alice would not make a very good Mary Poppins. I would expect to meet her together with Philo again sometime. Charlotte has to do something extra-ordinary yet.
No Roddy, you’re not an idiot like the professor. You’re a whole new breed of idiot. I don’t know if Darwin exists in your universe, but if he does, he’s polishing a nice, shiny award for you.
Yes, but for every 10 page reduction, there will be a subsequent extension of time required to produce it. This is according to the Law of Energy/Mass Conservation, so, by reducing the mass of pages, you are actually increasing the amount of Author Energy required to produce it. This is why those webcomics who update tri-weekly, or even, *gasp* daily, don’t have the mind-bending story quality that we enjoy here. We are lucky to have an Author who chooses to invest an entire week’s worth of energy to each update….
So, what you’re saying is that if I did only one page per year, that one page would be better than all the weekly pages that I would have done put together. I’m all for it. The next update will be May 2016. See ya!
THAT sound wrong. Just wrong. I don’t know why, but I have a bad feeling it. Where ever you’re going with your large hole theory, don’t go there, man! 😉
Isn’t is curious that no one commented about where all the dirt and rocks went? One page it was solid ground, and the next there’s a mysterious hole in the universe.
So, what now? Is Alice going to rappel down to the drill on one of those ropes to save Charlie?
Rappelling in a long dress? Sounds tricky. I somehow doubt Charlie would like the idea of being saved by Alice.
Alice would not make a very good Mary Poppins. I would expect to meet her together with Philo again sometime. Charlotte has to do something extra-ordinary yet.
Alice might make a good Bloody-Mary Poppins.
AAAAnd THERE’s the Roddy we’ve all come to know and loathe….
“Shame about Charlotte.” – brrrrr! That boy is COLD!
I’ve started thinking of him as the son I never had.
Or the son you never wanted?

“Professor” was and wasn’t a typo. It had read “precessor” but was supposed to say “Predecessor”. It’s fixed now anyway. Sorry.
You know, he is in a perfect position to be pushed into the hole by someone coming from behind…
You’re not there!
Wait! I know there’s Reverend Playfair from several pages back. He could do the pushing, but that wouldn’t exactly be “playing fair”.
OOOh, OW, that one hurt…..
Sure it would! After all, he just dropped a bunch of people down that hole, and “turnabout’s fair play.”
Well played, Sir. And fairly played.
“All’s fair in love and war.”
That kid is a complete sociopath.
I would say he’s a high-functioning sociopath.
Nepal, eh? Will you be working on disaster relief?
As much as a webcomic can bring relief to disaster victims, that’s the amount I’m working on.
End of chapter 1? Are the chapters going to keep getting shorter until chapter 10 is only 3 pages long?
Yes, but for every 10 page reduction, there will be a subsequent extension of time required to produce it. Weeel.., since the butler is with Philo I have no doubt whatsoever they will be returning. Just how will be the fun part.
That sounds likely. Of course, we won’t find out for another year and a half, but that’s the price we pay.
Now THAT is a truly large hole!
THAT sound wrong. Just wrong. I don’t know why, but I have a bad feeling it. Where ever you’re going with your large hole theory, don’t go there, man! 😉
The internet has ruined you. I meant nothing wrong at all by that. It’s just really, really big 😉
“The new heir to the Earldom of Farthing is not an idiot like his predecessor.”
Then that little piece of dirt he’s standing on, next to a gigantic unstable hole, crumbles inwards. He’s evidently an even bigger idiot.
Hi Ooorah! Thanks for joining us.
Isn’t is curious that no one commented about where all the dirt and rocks went? One page it was solid ground, and the next there’s a mysterious hole in the universe.
Oh, you’re right!
A big giant gopher hole would be harder for Roddy to stand on the edge of though. And look less artistic.
