WooHoo, the Flywheel is back! And tucked in nice and tight. cool!
Yay for the flywheel! Now all I have to do is come up with an excuse for its very existence.
maybe it serves a secondary purpose to keep the caterpillars on the opposite side of the driller pressed against the side wall? That’s why it can be extended. You know, in case of the side wall being irregular.
Not bad. I’ll give it a think.
What we hadn’t realized was that Roddy was actually *fixing* the boiler. He knew there was a fatal flaw in the design, and he corrected it so that his brother’s experiment could be a success! He only bribed the workmen to keep it quiet so that Philo’s feelings wouldn’t be hurt.
And now he’s giving his sincere, heartfelt congratulations on a job well done.
“Congratulations Philo.”
“…… Now to go tell Alice about her sister’s unfortunate circumstances and offer her my (ahem) ‘deepest sympathies’ in the matter.”
@winterminute – geez, warn us when you’re going to completely warp reality like that…. The sky outside just turned bringht yellow with a glorious pale blue sun. The sky is filled with chirping fish, and my entire lawn just turned into lime jello…… O_o
Well, the sky does seem a bit yellow, and as it turns out, Roddy is actually the protagonist of this story 😉
