I kind of imagine it like that scene in “The Changeling” where the ghost keeps annoying the main character with this wooden ball, so he takes the ball, drives to the river and throws it in. Then, when he gets back to the house…. “THUMP THUMP THUMP!!!” the wooden ball rolls down the stairs again… *soaking wet*… only for the Toolbox, it could be all sooty with the tools standing up in it (ala Handy Manny) with demonic expressions on their faces…..
Kudos to Thorin for mentioning The Changeling! It’s a brilliant film, though I’ve never heard anyone refer to it before. Did it become a cult classic without me noticing? That wouldn’t be surprising, as my cultural references are often back-dated by decades, or centuries 😉
I don’t know about a cult classic. It was on HBO one night when I was in high school and staying in a hotel overnight during a band trip. the guys I was staying with were seniors, and I just a lowly freshman. I’d never watched a horrow movie before, so the whole movie has kinda…. stayed with me. But doc says I’ll be better soon!
I figured motion-indicating arrows would be superfluous here, since the movement of the character/platform is illustrated by the sequential frames. Feel free to tell me I’m wrong 🙂
Nothing about sociopath, psychopath, or maniac means that one can not rationalize. Actually it’s pretty much the complete opposite they can rationalize doing things that are beyond what the typical persons morals or ethics will accept.
Nah, Roddy’s just a bored, mischievous kid. He may very well end up hurting people for his own amusement, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call him a sociopath. I believe the clinical term is ‘teenager’ (or pre-teen, hard to say).
AAAGH! What is it???? I hope it’s the Ghost of the Toolbox.
Toolbox ghost? Okay. Curious idea. I think I’m going to need a sales pitch, or screenplay treatment, or something to help sell me on the idea.
“You will be visited by three tool spirits who will show you the true meaning of sabotage!”

Either Charlie or something she left behind, guess it’s possiblea dog just bit him on the butt.
What if Charlie just bit him? Maybe not. Roddy would probably enjoy that. Heck, he might enjoy the dog bite.
Yeah, he’s the type that would confuse it with affection.
Apparently the arrows are on strike this week. The platform will just have to move without their help 🙂
Maybe they are at the memorial for the toolbox…..

Not at all! Not at all! It was not a criticism, just joking really 🙂
Leaving already Roddy? Well, I suppose you couldn’t claim the inheritance if you died here too…
Huh. When you put it like that, Roddy almost sounds rational… in a homicidal-maniac sort of way.

Oh I disagree, Roddy’s psyche is so twisted it makes a corkscrew look straight…
