Author Comment:
IT’S A TOTAL SCAM THAT PART 4 IS A CONTINUATION OF PART 2! At the end of Part 2 Roderick (creepy kid) had extorted a kiss from Alice (angry teenager), and we were all wondering what would happen now that they’d made their way into the giant, metal, tower thingy. BUT NOOOOOOO. Here comes Part 4, and we see Alice and Charlotte back down in the drawing room waiting to have tea. Like we even care who this guy with the spyglass is 😡

What scams! So glad you uncovered them 😀

Loving the comic so far – you’ve got my vote on TWC 5 days a week.

Looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Ah, those crazy Frenchies! Who knows what wacky stunts they may be up to next? But it’s good to be back drizzly old England. 🙂

Just noted the animation, and I must say, everyone should have their own dwarfish caveman ride.

    • mvandinter says:

BMunro, you are not the first person who has expressed an interest in riding a dwarf-caveman after seeing that animated gif. I’m not exactly sure what I’ve tapped into, but I need to figure out how to exploit it. Hmmmmmm… Any ideas?

“Get bent!” is an awesome insult. I don’t know why. I’m not sure I should think about it. I’ll just keep taking it at face value.

    • mvandinter says:

I agree. “Drop Dead” pales in comparison 😉

It reminds me of two things. The first is this:

The second is one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies, Twice Upon a Time. It’s the punchline at the end of the following exchange:

Flora: Uncle Greenie, is it really you?
      Greensleeves: Basically it is, yeah.
      Flora: You’re short and bent!
      Greensleeves: I’m short and bent.
Flora: What happened to my Uncle Greenie, the handsome dashing hero?
Greensleeves: He got short and bent. But he’s glad to see you nonetheless… come here darling, let me give you a kiss you sweet love!
      [sound of kissing]
Rod Rescueman [enviously]: *I* should get short and bent!

    Ed8 says:

Most dangerous in England? How can he say that about poor little Charlotte? 🙂

    • mvandinter says:

If there are any alternate nominations for “The Most Dangerous Woman in England”, let’s hear it!

        Ed8 says:

Ooops, I got cut short. I meant, “How can he say that about poor little Charlotte….she might find out and take revenge on him! Isn’t he scared? I would be.” I must have accidentally left that last half off.

(As to how she might find out, Roderick is most likely lurking around the corner somewhere, and would rat him out in a second)

      • Heliotrope says:

Could he be confusing Alice Wollstone with Mary Wollstonecraft, author of “A Vindication of the Rights of Woman”? The “hyena in petticoats” who had the radical notion that women were rational beings just like men, and also deserved access to education and paid work?
        Naah… she died in 1797.

  5. Aslandus says:

Well, suddenly that spikey mansion seems like a more important detail…
Also, that giant drill he’s living in seems to suggest that England had the tunnel idea a long time ago…

    Frank says:

    Mmm. Yes. Charlotte. I understand.
