    Yakumo says:

My Pretty? I mean, I know this would predate the original play, but really?!

Hope every is well and staying safe.

    Frank Harr says:

Ooooh, plot thickening! Min you, the main reason why she didn’t go down any aisle is her runaway fiancee, but that’s not . . . all her fault.

Oh, and what a drain it is!

    • mvandinter says:

It is a drain, really really. Funny that no one has mentioned the smell 😉

        Frank Harr says:

It’s the beginning of the 10th century and they’re all rural types. They’re used to it.

          Frank Harr says:

          Damnit: 19th.

          • mvandinter says:

Oh, and the 19th Century smelled better than the 18th! I was about to describe the layer of “mud” in the streets of London (& Paris too), but decided not to.

              Frank Harr says:

Thanks. All major cities had that “mud”. <8C

But even outside of the cities, the smell was . . . ripe.

Interestingly, if they then were brought to here, now, they'd find our own time as ripe and unpleasant.

  4. Brother Parvus says:

In the last panel Alice’s face shows interest rather than anger, distress, scorn, or upset. [ArteJohnsonVoice]Verrry Interestinggg…

    jsfury says:

Oh Alice, you’re such a feisty gal. Does she ever on a more calm level? I swear, that gals always ready for a fight. Or so it seems.

    jsfury says:

Something interesting to point out here. Alice say she might have been nobility if she had gone down the aisle, and got married. But then I would have missed out on all this. This tells me that in her heart she is an adventurer, and is actually Philo’s other half. Even though Philo doesn’t really comprehend this yet. You know Matt, I really love action/romance/adventure stories. You really need to do this comic twice a month. PLEEEEEEASE?

    • mvandinter says:

I would if I could. The trouble is that I have a day job, a side job, a family, and a caffeine habit that would kill a horse. (P.S. I know I have another comic, “Geek Fortress”, but it takes very little time, and I’d done half the strips years ago and never posted them.)
