And Charlie sees who to appeal to. Does she know the right combination of how? Stay tuned.

  2. Thorin Schmidt says:

Knowing Alice, She’ll make him wear the dress while reading a newspaper article about how she stole his driller for an expedition to the center of the earth…

    Do it.

  4. Aslandus says:

Well, they could build a cannon and fire her surface-ward, but that would be a bit expensive with the supplies they packed…

Oh and it would also incredibly dangerous…

      wintermute says:

More dangerous than traveling to the center of the earth on a gigantic steam-powered drilling machine?

  5. ScifiterX says:

I think he’ll look good in it. I also suspect she has a shorter and painful journey for the digger in mind.

    • mvandinter says:

Hi ScifiterX! Thanks for joining the discussion!

Philo probably would look good in a dress… except for the sideburns. Not good.

      • Lilithmae says:

Unless you’re into that kinda thing. I have learned to just assume that, whatever it is, someone is into it.

        • Thorin Schmidt says:

*ring* “Support Group Hotline, how may I help you?”

“You say you have an obsession for dysfunctional steampunk romances centered around improbale scenarios involving love triangles, harpsichords, Toolboxes, flywheels and Perfectly Evil Butlers?”

          “They meet on Mondays.”

          “Yes, you’re welcome”
          *click*

          • Thorin Schmidt says:

although in Roddy’s case, it might be more of a love pentagle…..

          • L
            Luces says:

Wrong division. The leading figure (at least the person with the most money) tries to dig right down to the middle of the earth just to avoid the iron touch of his fiancée.
Both beeing constantly on the run before each other, where is there the romance?

            • mvandinter says:

Anyone expecting romance between Philo and Alice? Don’t get your hopes up.

                Hornet says:

Well hell… Not that the coupling necessarily had to be Philo and Alice but someone and someone, maybe even more than one pair of someones.

                • mvandinter says:

I could be misdirecting you, you know. Lots of romantic comedies have the romantic leads hating each other for the first two acts.

I suspect Philo would be lucky if he was only made to wear a dress if Alice gets her hands on him.

  7. F
    Frank says:

    I’d say it’s only fair.
