Alas, poor Roderick! He never should have taken his eyes off Charlie!
She backhanded his arm off her, and looks like she’s about to “Fronthand” his face……
Naw, she folded her arms again in the last frame.
If she hits him in the face, another backhand would be quicker 😉
(I’m imagining Charlie breaking out with the Bruce Lee Wing Chun moves, left backhand to the face followed immediately by a right straight punch to the solar plexus)
So, we’re expecting kung fu from 19th century British schoolgirls now?
Good suggestion! That would be awesome! (just kidding)
As I recall, there was the promise of a kiss or something similar during the prologue when Roddy led those two into the giant drill.
yeah, but he got *that* kiss. he collectied right away.
Page 31 of the prologue is one of my favorites 🙂
So what I’m hearing you say is that Roddy is a version of the author’s younger self?
This could be fun!
Oh! Roddy is actually me? That’s a sobering thought.
What may be MORE sobering is that Alice might be every version of girl your early self encountered….. all in one character… O.O
Oh, my. Down the rabbit hole we go…
Roddy I’d get away if I were you, you’re next on her list.
It’s nice to see that someone is concerned about Roddy’s welfare 😉
Hey, Roddy fulfills a vital role in this story.
He is the:
“Protagonist Most Likely to Cause Conflict in the Absence of a Villain.” or the PMLCCAV, for short, sort of. hmmm….
He fulfills the role of: Jerk!
There, much shorter.
